Day 45

Gold Baby Gold. Such a nice story about Alex Biladeau winning Canada's first Gold Medal on Canadian Soil. We also won a bronze in speed skating. Our day would have been excellent had it not been for the boy jamming a bead/(hockey puck) up his nose. 4 hours in the emergency department made for a memorable valentines day!

Day 44

We celebrated valentines day today. Went to take the van up to springbrook to get fixed, took the boy to hockey, watched some olympics and then took tanya out to Earl & Angelo's. One of the best meals i've ever had... it was great. After the meal, we went to see Valentines day at the theatre... we were like in the 2nd row and got a kinked neck from it. It was fun and had a great time. I'm so fortunate to have married my best friend

Day 43

So neat to see opening ceremonies from Our own country. Not sure that I thought it totally represented us but it was pretty neat none the less. We played hockey tonight and ended up beating out the first place team 7-2 and i scored a hat trick. When does that ever happen. Crazy

Day 41

Class trip today. Tanya met isaac there and took faith with her. I was having a brutal day at work so I took my lunch and met them up at the Dever. Isaac was zooming around. Below, he and his friend are helping one of his buddies who couldn't skate that well. Was rather cute

Great to see Lisa & Delaney out on the ice

Day 39

Such a horrible sad day in belleville today. On Jan 28, a young lady named jessica lloyd who lives just north of us on Hwy 37 disappeared from her home. For the last 10 days, everyone has been searching placing posters and looking for her. On sunday, just before our company came, we had a visit from an investigating detective asking us if we'd seen anything suspicious and wanting to know where we were the night of the 28th. It's surreal. Like the movies. On monday morning, the sad news had come that they had discovered her body.

The shocking news came that they had made the arrest of the person responsible... couldn't believe it. They arrestested the commander of CFB Trenton, the highest ranking officer, a colonel in charge of canada's largest air base. It's unthinkable and I still can't believe it. Glad to have this predator off the street... just hard to believe this kinda stuf is happening in little ol belleville
