Christmas Part 4

P.K. Subban

Two of the Belleville Bulls will be representing Team Canada this Christmas at the world junior championships, Shawn Matthias & PK Subban. I'm very proud of both of these young men.

PK and I hit it off right off the bat when we first met because of our love for the Montreal Canadiens. Was thrilled to see him picked by them last year in the 2nd round.

His father would wake him up in the middle of the night to take him down to Nathan Phillips Square to go skating... very cool story.

Neighborhood Party

Had our 2nd annual neighborhood dessert party last night. Had a great time getting to know our neighbors and spending time with them. Thanks all for a fun evening

Happy Birthday Jesus

We made a cake last night for Jesus, something we do every year to remember his birthday and that celebrating His Birth, is the reason for this season.

Pac-Man, the best babysitter and a favorite at Kelsey's. They still aren't old enough to know that it takes quarters to actually play this game. It's been very inexpensive

Isaac bit my mothers finger by accident when he was eating the brownie from the sundae and left a mark.

Today is my mothers birthday. We love you very much Mom. I must explain the title... (Mom, Gramma... That)
Eva has taken some time to get warmed up to mom... earlier this year, we were over at their house and my father was singing a song and he started by singing about Eva... "I love Eva, I love Eva" to which she giggled and then got Papa to sing about another person... She went around the room, told him who to sing about and he would comply... first Isaac, then Papa, then Daddy, Mommy, then she looked at Gramma, pointed at her and said "THAT" We had a laugh. Eva now is definately a Gramma's girl and calls her GWAMMA

Tired

There is so much to do this time of year and not enough time to do it in. I was up late last night wrapping presents and I realize I am not getting enough sleep. I wrapped a present for Isaac and put the tag on and signed it... To Isaac, From Bruce. That's pretty bad but not as bad as the year dad was signing his christmas cards the same time he was signing checks and signed the card to my mother.... To Marg, Love David Mackay... he'll never live that one down.

The "Holiday Sing"

JK's had a "Holiday" sing tonight at the school... notice, it wasn't a christmas carol sing...

Isaac has been looking forward to this for weeks... tonight, he was hounding me to eat supper and go because he didn't want to be late. We got there with time to spare, left him in his class and took our spot in the auditorium...

and in he walked, in tears with his Ottawa Senators Santa Hat pulled completely over his face, crying away. Seems he didn't take too well to us leaving him in the class. Poor Kid. Well, at least it was better than the 4.5 second stint at last years Church Christmas Choir when he jumped off the stage.

And the Winner Is...

At the school tonight, they had a draw with the proceeds going to united way. I bought a bunch of tickets and actually won

but failed... Our friend Lisa had also bought some tickets and had to leave early so she left them with me... i swear it wasn't her tickets that won... positive

Made our gingerbread house tonight... annual tradition

Winter Wonderland

Great day to stay inside today... I cancelled my trip to cambridge and am glad to be inside getting ready for Christmas
