So I guess my Centennial Secondary School band roots are still there. I have always had a love of the standards and stage and big bands. Last year it was announced that the Glenn Miller Orchestra would be coming to belleville. Glenn Miller died in 1944 but his orchestra continues to record music and tour. We gave tickets to my in-laws for christmas and we had a nice night out, listening to some classic old tunes. Tanya tells me that I had a grin on my face the whole time. Ah well... i didn't live in the 30's and 40's but I do like the big band swing music from that era... classics like I've got a gal in Kalamazoo, Penssylvania 6-5000, Stardust, Moonlight Serendade and In the Mood.
