It's Been A While

Got our 2007 Christmas pics back today

Thankfully, our kids get their good looks from their mother!

We've been busy and our batteries have died in the camera so I haven't taken much pictures. We've celebrated Tanya's Birthday, gone through some sickness, played lots of hockey and did a shopping trip to the states. Last weekend, had a scary incident. We went for breakfast at Denny's in Watertown and Eva was being Eva. So before our mail came, I got up and was just walking with her holding her hand. A waitress didn't see her and bumped into her and hot water (for tea) spilled on her head. We are so thankful that it wasn't boiling hot. She still has a mark on her face and it didn't blister at the time so we're told it should go away. Things like this only happen to Eva....

Ottawa No Go

All fall, we've been waiting for today to come and go as a family to see Montreal play this afternoon in Ottawa. I've had the tickets for months. Woke up this morning and isaac starting throwing up...

Ended up giving the tickets away and stayed home. Isaac is so tired, barf pail in hand, trying like crazy to watch the game. I made a special trip into town this morning and bought him an ottawa senators t-shirt with numbers on it, just what he wanted. We'll have to try and go again another time... if we can get tickets:)

Dress Up

Picked up a costume for Eva for the party next weekend. Couldn't resist the wonder woman costume. She has a few issues with the head band but we should have that worked out by the weekend!

Family Skate Day

Our church had their annual family skate day today. Isaac had a wonderful time. He did take a few ribbings for the shirt he was wearing and a few child abuse allegations were lodged against me for making him wear it but other than that, it was fun time.

I need sleep

So eva spent her first night in the new bed. We went to the bulls game last night and got home late so the kids were really tired and floated off to dream land rather quickly. she woke up in the middle of the night and was pretty much inconsolable...made for a fun night.

And of course... whoever decided on daylight savings time, didn't have kids. 6:00am sharp... up they got. Hopefully this means, going to bed 1 hr early tonight:)

The New Room

Eva was pretty excited to see her new bed... wasn't the bunk bed from the store that she wanted but none the less, she think's she's pretty big now to have her own big girl bed

We bought the furniture a year ago and there was masking tape on the mirror and it's taking a little work to get that off but other than that, we're pretty happy with the way things turned out

Glad that the clocks turn back and hopefully we'll get an extra hour. I think we're going to need it. I've got this feeling the new freedom of the big bed will cause our little girl to wander out a little bit!

Tyrone

I love after halloween sales. Got this costume cheap cheap for isaac, it's tyrone from the backyardigans. He has a dress-up party to go to next week so he may wear this.

House No More

Didn't take like for my white house to be demolished. By the time I got there, it was gone.

I went to see the owners of the pet hospital next door and they had this nervous look on their face, "you are going to take down the garage too aren't you" to which I replied, "Na, we're going to leave it there and build on to it" Feeble attempt at humor.

Tree's, foundation, and old garage should be down by this afternoon.

Need to get working on building design and then start construction next summer to be in by February 2009.
