Misc Kids Stuff

Scanned in a few things of the kids and then now I can throw them out. Isaac had written Faithy a nice little note back in February. It was pretty cute

Isaac got an award from clubs a few weeks back

Isaac went over to a friends house sunday. Eva was missing her brother bigtime so she ended up writing him a note...
Isaac, P (for Please) come home Now... love from Eva. She was soooo missing him. She made a little heart for him. When he got home, she gave him the note, she was so proud of it and he looked at it, crumpled it up and threw it on the floor. Perfect. He received a lesson from me in tact. After a long conversation, he accepted the note and said thanks

The List

Made a list of fun things to do with the kids over march break. Isaac loves lists so he bought into it bigtime... so much so that if it wasn't on the list, as fun as it sounded, we may not do it....
First thing he did was change March Break with My Dad to March Break with my "Famley" Politically correct kid...

Lunch with Dad

So the kids came in to the office yesterday for lunch with dad. I had decorated a little bit with dollar store stuff for st. patricks day... not that we're irish or anything, but just trying to make it fun for the kids. However, didn't make things fun for faith. She loves the door handles at the office because they are levers and just at the right height for her to open every door in the place. After saying No Faithy, stay here... she falls prostrate on the floor and just screams... she's just heartbroken... too cute

We have a computer game at the office and isaac's big draw was to come in and play hockey

Would you love this family

So we went for our passport photo's yesterday. I told the kids, for this picture they won't let us smile. After getting over the initial shock, they agreed to do the picture... all except for faith. She wanted no part of it. She got the "don't Smile" part, just didn't get the don't scream your head off part. Eva has some sore on her lip, isaac looks like he hasn't eaten in a week. We look like we abuse our children... i guess that's the look they go for when you go into another country. Too Funny.

If you had to guess who had the most trouble not smiling, who would you guess? Well, in actual fact it was Tanya. She put on her serious face and the photographer said, please stop smiling mam and she started to laugh and said "i'm not smiling" and then the giggles kicked in, and well, it took a few minutes but we eventually got it.

Day 5 of March Break

Went in to work just after 6 and came home around 1 to spend the afternoon with the kids
Isaac had spent the morning baking cookies with Gramma and then I took him to the bank to deposit his loose change which we had rolled from his piggy bank... all $174 of it. Crazy how that stuff adds up. Went to the park with every other parent and their kid to do our first pirate ship trip of the year. Then went to the dollar store and bought items for our olympic event for sunday which the kids are planning. That oughtta be interesting and definately unique

Birthday Present

I had a bit of birthday money that I put towards getting a replica torch from the olympics. It's only 12inches tall but it's pretty neat. I love memorabelia...

Day 4 of march break

So we didn't really have anything planned for the kids for march break so one day last week i made up a list of "fun" things to do. On Monday, it was get up early and go to denny's with isaac and eva. I dropped them back off and went to work

Isaac is obsessed with the list. I went to take them to the pirate ship yesterday to which he responded... "Well, it's not on the list" like, we can't do that... oh boy

Tooth #2

Eva lost her 2nd tooth... eating an apply, and yes when i say lost i mean, can't find. After watching the tooth fairy movie last week, eva determined she didn't want the tooth fairy coming anywhere near her head and sprinkling that "amnesia dust" on her so she put her tooth fairy box at the bottom of the bed

A little out of sorts

We've been having some behaviorial issues with the I-man lately. 90% of the time he's good as gold... it's just that 10%. And it's this defiant, i know you told me to do something but I'm going to stand here, stare at you and not do it. Then when i get in trouble, i'm really gonna shut down and totally disobey. It's completely frustrating... but i'm reminded by my parents that the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. So we decided to try something different... he's obviously looking for attention so we decided that maybe he and Tanya would go out on a "date" for something fun to do. My birthday is coming up so they went to the mall to birthday shop. He reminded his mother that they hadn't been out, just the two of them for fun since going to see peter pan at the stirling theatre 2 1/2 years ago... (again, fruit doesn't fall far from the tree...)

Anyway, Tanya got to see first hand his impatient go getting attitude.... at the card shop, i guess he kept coming with cards, mostly inappropriate ones and saying, let's get this one for daddy, lets' get this one... too funny. Anyway, the minute they walked in the door, he was busting to tell me something. He's not the best at keeping secrets... Tanya lamented and said, fine, you can tell daddy. I was expecting to hear what my birthday present was... instead

"DADDY DADDY, Mommy went through a red light... luckily there were no cops around" Atta boy, no secrets with this kid

I don't want to get bigger

So....I guess we have a worrier on our hands. She told Tanya this morning in tears that she doesn't want to get bigger because she doesn't want to drive. Tanya said you are a long ways away from driving and don't worry....that's a decision you can make then. Tanya said....why don't you want to drive. She said....because I don't know where to go. :) Oh brother.
