Thoughts of Last Week

It's been a week since I blogged, lots on the go...

Monday 18th- Business Trip to Toronto, Took in the Jays Yankees Game. Highlight of the Trip seeing MEATLOAF throw out the first pitch
Tuesday 19th - Had a conference in TO, came back on Train.
Thursday 21st - Went to my parents house. My mom hasn't been feeling well so we took the kids to cheer her up. They can be a good tonic or sometimes, drive you to drink.
Saturday 23 - Took Isaac to his first skating lesson. Was there for 5 minutes and then started wining and wanting me to carry him. As soon as it was over and we went off the ice, he was crying to go back on. Great investment of $50 I tell you.
Sunday - Eva fell in the nursery and cracked her chin leaving a big mark. My dad jokingly said, we should sue... well, not sure if I told him or not but tanya and I were the nursery workers. Brutal.

Funny quote of the week, Eva was misbehaving and I was losing my patience. I looked at her and said EVA, NNN... (just about to say no and then stopped). Everytime I say No to her she just balls. Anyway, I almost said no and then stopped and Isaac is just standing there looking at me and says... "Say it Daddy Say It" I guess he likes seeing his sister cry.

Tanya's New Doo

Tanya got her hair cut on Saturday. When she got home, Eva didn't recognize her and started to cry. To Quote Isaac... "Mommy, me and daddy like your new haircut, Eva Doesn't" 

Kids At Work

Isaac had to visit the ear specialist today and Eva came to work at the office. Let's just say, she can get Grampa to do anything she wants. Below, Isaac came to pick up his sister and they destroyed one of our workstation. Not sure what they did but I had to reboot it to get it working right.

 

Chapel Day

Hockey Ministries Hosted a Chaplains day for all the OHL Chaplains in Guelph. It was really good to get together with everyone from around the league.

 

Birthday Weekend

My sister in law Kenia turned 30 this weekend. Here are some pics from the party. Connor had his father pull out his front tooth with plyers on the weekend giving him the Bobby Clarke Grin. Eva now has her hair in pigtails... pretty cute. The bottom photo is of isaac after he'd been running around. The kid just sweats like nobody's business


 

Morning Blues

When your wife says to you "Where did you get this bread from" it can never be a good thing. I knew it tasted a little dry and I thought that Whole Grain Bread was supposed to be browning Green. I ate a whole piece and fed half a piece to Eva. Isaac refused to eat it. Smart guy

Also this morning, I had to go in and wake up the boy. He refused to get up and said, "It's Not Morning Time, I'm Tire, I want to sleep" Apparantly he went from being a 3 year old to a teenager overnight

Where Do They Get This Stuff

Isaac was coloring this morning, looked to his mother and said "Mommy, I'm going to Draw you a Website. Here's your website Mommy"

One other note of concern, his favorite song now is "Hands In Your Pocket" from the TV Commercial.

Isaac-isms

Checked online today and these pictures were on the Bulls Website. The bottom picture is Nick Pageau and I helping Isaac Skate.

Isaac has said a few things lately that have caused me to snicker. On sunday, he took out a book from the church library on David and Goliath. Tanya read him the book and last night, we were busy doing something but he was reading the book by himself and this is him reading the part of Goliath - "Hey do you want to Bight (fight) you little Chickenbacher"

Eva is doing a bit better getting over her throat and ear infection. Yesterday morning we were giving her some medicine and Isaac pleaded with us "I'm Sick, I need Medicine... I don't want to die"
 

Weekend Update

Went Shopping Friday night and bought the boy a new helmut and skates. Went to Peterborough Saturday and bought Eva a new "pink" dresser to go with her new pink head board and side table. Gracious.
On Sunday, Went skating with the Bulls. Isaac had a wonderful Time. Eva felt a little warm in the afternoon so Tanya took her to the clinic and she has a throat and ear infection. Wonderful.

I'm on a waiting list for isaac to take skating lessons. I thought he'd be excited so I told him about it and he informed me he'd like to do "Jumper Guys" instead... that would be ski jumping.... we'll wait a few years for that.

Run Away

Last night after supper, Isaac informed us that "he wanted to go far away from you, eat ice cream and play hockey" Nice, that's the life now isn't it

Dave & Lisa Kuehn

Our friends Dave & Lisa Kuehn were visiting from Calgary so we met them for breakfast yesterday morning at cora's. Great to meet up with you guys. 

Long Weekend

Had a lazy long weekend which was needed. Took Isaac & Eva to watch the Bulls practice on saturday, Todd & Sue and the kids came for a visit saturday night as well.

Sunday, we went through our photo's and put them in the albums (we're only a year behind, not too bad!)

Met some friends of ours Monday and then just hung out around the house. Pictures below are of kids halloween costume... Eva will be a lady bug and isaac a lion (although he's convinced he's a tiger)


 

Good Start

I wake up really early these mornings so I pulled myself into work this morning before 7. I was listening to the radio (not ucb but don't tell anyone) and I won the worlds impossible trivia... I won a $50 gift cert at sears and passes to see the Movie INVINCIBLE and a T-shirt from the movie. The question you ask... what happens the most at 4:00 on a Friday afternoon... if you guess correctly, perhaps I'll share the bounty...

This weekend, Tanya and I are going to a movie tonight and dinner with our friends Derk & Roxanne. My sisters family is coming down to go to the fair tomorrow and then monday we're meeting up with some old friends Dave & Lisa Kuehn, visiting from Alberta. Anyway, have a great long weekend.
