Christmas with the Jones'

Isaac got a hockey game from Uncle Todd & Aunt Sue and as you can see here, he loved it. He's giving it a hug and a kiss. Eva was loving the Puppy. The other 2 photo's are of Todd & Sue's 4 boys and new puppy and then Isaac scoring a goal on Uncle Louis

More Christmas Morning

Christmas 2006

Christmas 2006. Isaac and Eva had a wonderful time, their mother not so much. Tanya came down with the 24 hr flu which lasted from Christmas Eve til Boxing Day Morning. Fun Times! Isaac was a little freeked out about Santa coming to our house. I did manage to convince him to leave some Diet Coke and some of Eva's Milk!

One More Sleep...

"One More sleep til santa... 3 more sleeps for Eva"

Connecting with Friends

One of my favorite things about Christmas time is when old friends come home to visit. I am sentimental that way. Tonight, we hung out with Don and Nan Britton from London & Steve & Lisa. We all used to get together on Christmas Eve and watch the classic rendition of Scrooged with Bill Murray. Had an awesome time visiting and reconnecting. As I was unloading my camera, aparently Will & Jackson got a hold of my camera at some point in the evening and took a picture or two... too funny. Quite the jokester!

Didn't want to mention it at the time, but Lisa, yes, you were sitting in the poop chair. Pretty sure we got it all cleaned up tho... pretty sure!

Looking At The Trains

Not sure why i did, but thought it would be fun to take the kids to the mall this morning. Our shopping is all done but just wanted to experience the mayhem perhaps. Kids love the train that's set up there. On a whim, i said let's go and see Santa (he's always been too afraid) Not today tho, he went and got right up on santa's lap and told him what he wanted... A might sharks zamboni... Oh help us. I bought a pittsburgh zamboni... can he not make up his mind!

Eva had some issues with santa today but all in all a fun morning. The Elf told isaac when he was done, he could get a candy cane. They must have forgotten but he sure didn't. Talked about it all the way to the car. "They forgot to give me my candy cane and lollipocks those silly chickens!"

Isaac Today
Isaac in July.... Same Shirt

Posted by Picasa

I'm The Father

Today, Isaac asked to wear a short sleeved brown shirt. Hasn't worn it in a while. As he was putting it on, he told his mother, "I wore this shirt to Abby's Party" (her birthday is in July) I looked up the pictures and sure enough, he was wearing the same shirt.

All question to the paternity of Isaac have now been resolved. The fruit does not fall far from the tree!

Hearing From Old Friends

Don't know if I've said this recently, but I love Christmas. I really do. I enjoy getting home after work, getting Christmas Cards and hearing from old friends. Last night I was out grocery shopping and the whole experience was leaving me grumpy. As I was leaving the store, my cell rang and it was my friend Terry Willows calling from BC. It totally made my day, it was like he had never left Belleville.

I got thinking, in a day and age where we are so connected... Phones, faxes, cell phones, texting, emails, Messenger, it's still so hard to keep in touch. Anyway, if you are reading this, maybe there is one person you haven't talked to in a while and know you should. If you've been meaning to call for the longest time, get off the computer right now, pick up the phone and call. You'll make their day. Thanks Terry. Merry Christmas

Classic Fool

So I'm attributing the stress of the holidays to my latest slip up. Tanya has a work pot luck tomorrow so at lunch today, we went to dewe's and picked up some ingredients for her to make a salad. Took them back to the office and put them in the fridge. At 5:00, tanya called to remind me to bring them home. Yup, no problem. I was finishing up some things left around 5:30... got home.. Stink... guess what I forgot. Sorry honey, groceries are still at work, i know you reminded me but I forgot. No problem, Isaac and I had a gift delivery to make after supper, we'll head back to the office to pick them up. Went all the way back in, got a few other things and picked up the bag of groceries. I got home, pulled into the garage and that's when it hit me. I picked up "the" bag of groceries, not "both" bags of groceries. Have I lost it? Am I a Timmy? So I came in, put the kids to bed and hi ho hi ho, back to work I go for the third stinkin time tonight. I am now home again and happy to say, all groceries are here and in tact. To quote my good friend George Castanza, to all of tanya's co workers I hope you like "the biiiigggg salad"

I'm going to bed before I do any more damage... I need a holiday....

Mom @ Kelsey's

So after the meal, out the waitresses come with this giant ice cream dish. It was massive. Dad was off playing video games with the kids, Mom's got her Gluton thing and Tanya turned and said, do you think there is nuts in there... umm... yup, pretty sure there is. Score one for Bruce.
