The Tree

We did our annual trip to get our christmas tree today in Courtice. It was a bit muddy and no snow but it was cold. This year, we purchased 2 trees, one for the "nice" tree and then one for downstairs for the kids tree. Eva was picking every tree out imaginable... "How bout this tree mommy" it was only 2 ft tall and looked hideous. It was fun having them run around this year instead of us carrying them or pulling them in the wagon. My little family is growing up.

For the record, we had the longest drive... but we were the first to arrive. I'm marking this down because I'm sure it has to be some kind of first

Sofia and Faith (under the blanket)

Cutting down the tree in record time... ok, anythings faster than I used to be. My goal is to be quicker than Trevor every year... I was close this year... next year, he's toast

Weekend Musings

Just a few pics of the kids from the weekend. Isaac & Eva have been playing downstairs a little more often and Isaac came upstairs all dressed in his hockey garb...

Faithy has been such a good baby. She has her moments but for the most party, she is so laid back. She laughed for the first time on Thursday...

Went and took the kids for pictures on the weekend. Threatened them within an inch of their life. Eva had a few issues and wiped ou in her dress outside but it turned out ok. Pictures went good and afterwards, we stopped by to visit the train set at the mall, an annual tradition.

No Joy In Mudville

For Dad's 70th this year, I got him some tickets to see Montreal & Ottawa in Ottawa. The game is tonight and long story short, he's asked me to go with him. I expected to get a little flack from home but was a little surprised from the source. Last night just before dinner, i thought i'd tell the kids that I would be away thursday night and i told them i was going to ottawa to see the Canadiens & Sens play. Isaac got very upset, ran to his room, came out for supper, glared at me, without a word walked over to his place sitting which is beside my chair, picked up his food and dishes and moved to the end of the table. When it came time to pray, he folded his arms and turned completely around so he wasn't facing me. He was some upset i wasn't taking him. I began to laugh a little which didn't help matters. Needless to say, i will be bringing something home from ottawa for them tonight

Santa Claus Is Coming to Town

So after school/work and before church, we rushed to the mall tonight to take the kids to see Santa. They give away pictures for baby's first christmas tonight, so being as we're cheap, we thought we'd take advantage of it. And of course, they sucker you into buying more. We did one with Faithy on her own and she was asleep and just before they took the pictures of all three, her eye's opened up... it's a christmas miracle! Anyway, i pretty much finished up all the kids shopping and was able to get what they wanted. As Isaac was getting down from santa, he had a great big grin on his face. I said, did you ask santa for what you wanted... to which he replied, "Yup, he's bringing me a remote controlled Monster Truck" (Something that he's never ever disclosed or said he's wanted. I just figured out that he had a picture of one on his shirt so Santa must have popped that one into his head). Thanks a lot Santa...

Faith's Dedication

On Sunday, Faith was dedicated at church. Both Grampa's participated in the dedication, Grampa Mackay read scripture and Grampa Jones prayed for Faith

Isaac was spooked all morning about the prospect of going on stage... eva didn't have a problem with it. As we watched back on the video, Eva must have poke and touched faith about 39 times.

It was a good day and a good service and we are so thankful to God for our little Faith

Santa Claus Parada

Probably the warmest santa clause parade I can ever remember... very mild today. Kids had a great time

Spencer

We've had a few of the players over this year for dinner. I had sent a message earlier in the week to one of the players to see about coming over thursday. As I was leaving work, i called him and said, "you still coming for dinner tonight" to which he replied, "i'm actually sitting in your living room" I guess I'll take that as a yes and I better get home quick. Kids had a great time and it was good to connect again with spencer.

Bad blogger

So i haven't blogged in a bit, not because there hasn't been things going on but just havent' been taking pictures I guess. Kids are doing well, saying lots of funny things and keeping us laughing. Here is a pic from last week. We had one of the bulls over for dinner and he awkwardly was holding Faithy, kinda cute. She is a great baby and we are so thankful for that. Stevie's not so bad either i guess.

Halloween Part 2

Halloween Part 1

As a part of the united way campaign, my office participated in dressing up. I dressed up as "city councillor" Jack Layton from the 70's sporting the fro...

Isaac as Batman and Eva as a princess

Eva got spooked at this house below so from then on out, daddy had to carry her candy bucket to every house. She'd go and grab the candy, then dump it back in the bowl.
