Wonderland Video

Love the kid on the swing part way through the video... rain starts coming down part way through their ride and the looks on the kids faces is priceless.

Isaac's Birthday Party

When we got back from cottage, Isaac had his birthday party at michaels. This was our first one not at our home... definately won't be the last. We went to michaels craft store, rented the room, made bird houses and the kids just had a good time.

Wonderland

During the 2nd week of holidays, we looked at the schedule and week ahead and realized that if we were going to try and get to wonderland we had to do it on the monday. The week called for rain everyday so we were taking chances. We talked about it all day sunday and also the week before. Monday morning came, we said we're going to wonderland, talked about it all morning, packed, got in the van and part way up eva pipes up, "Where we going?" Umm... Wonderland Eva... Oh my word, that girl

We got heavy rains for 2 separate occasions, luckily we ran for cover and were ok. The end result was it weeded out the lines and we were able to go on most rides afterwards with little or no lineups.

Kids had a great time... even though Eva tripped or fell about 7 or 8 times...

Uncle Doug

Today we received some very sad news about the passing of my Uncle Doug. He is my mom's oldest brother and lived in Quebec. He is very close to our family and he will be greatly missed

We've never owned a cottage but growing up as kids, i fondly remembered our summer trips to Uncle Dougs Cottage outside Valleyfield PQ on the St. Lawrence river. Many of my trips to opening day in montreal for the expos constituted us stopping in Valleyfield to pick up Uncle Doug and heading into the city. His dry sense of humor and his ribbing of me will always be remembered.

2 years ago the Burns Clan got together to celebrate Uncle Dougs 80th Birthday. Here is a picture from that day.
Very hard to say goodbye... you will be missed Uncle Doug.

My Poor Children

So Faithy hasn't been growing as much as she should. She's been stuck on 15 lbs for 3 months or so so the doctor had her come back at the 9 month mark and was a little concerned so they referred us to the local peidiatrican. The doctor happens to be a friend of ours and tanya went today for a consult with him. We are not overly concerned because she's developing like our other kids and followed the same kinda pattern. Anyway, today, she's up a bit which is good and we're gonna start her on some homo milk. Anyway, the results of the consult:

Faithy is in the 10th percentile for weight
50th percentile for length/height
90th percentile for head size

Little Kid with a big head.... great. They get their big head from their daddy. Poor kids!!

The Weekend

Ended up being a pretty busy but fun weekend. Took older 2 mini golfing on friday night and Tanya and Faithster went fathers day shopping. Saturday morning, took odler 2 again to the movie theatre and saw christian movie, God Rocks. Saturday afternoon, Isaac had soccer and then papa mackay took them back to their place and and Tanya and Faith and I went to the year end Belleville Bulls Banquet. Sunday afternoon, we had been talking about going as a family to see the movie UP and I wasn't really looking to cram more in but we thought if we didn't do it now, would probably be out of the theatre by the time we could go again. So off we went, all 5 of us. It was a 3-D movie so it was rather amusing to watch the kids react.

Mike Murphy and Myself. Gonna miss this guy. Hope he does well in Carolina
