Glenn Miller Orchestra
So I guess my Centennial Secondary School band roots are still there. I have always had a love of the standards and stage and big bands. Last year it was announced that the Glenn Miller Orchestra would be coming to belleville. Glenn Miller died in 1944 but his orchestra continues to record music and tour. We gave tickets to my in-laws for christmas and we had a nice night out, listening to some classic old tunes. Tanya tells me that I had a grin on my face the whole time. Ah well... i didn't live in the 30's and 40's but I do like the big band swing music from that era... classics like I've got a gal in Kalamazoo, Penssylvania 6-5000, Stardust, Moonlight Serendade and In the Mood. Good night
Dutchess Faith
Mothers Day afternoon, we all treked back to the new playground. Faith must have climbed the new climber 25 times.... same routine every time... go up the stairs, come down on the tree trunk, sit, look around for a bit, get back up, go down the slide, run like mad for the stairs and do the whole thing over again. Of course someone had to get hurt at the playground.... Yup, Eva

Mothers Day with mom
We spent the saturday before mothers day with Mom. Went out to the park behind the hospital and then went for a walk "to memory lane" as isaac would say. Very nice afternoon and nice for mom to be out with the kids

The Newest Subban
OHL draft was last weekend. Something about OHL and NHL draft, can't explain it. Just love it. Anyway, with first rd pick, bulls picked 3rd and final Subban. Malcolm is current goaltender, PK played for 4 years and is currently in Montreal, and now Jordan joins the Bulls. Great knowing PK & Malcolm, looking forward to having Jordan in Belleville

Coalition
So i was rather pleased with the results of the election this week. Finally a majority. I was up in north bay for meetings while the election was on and on the way home, i stopped to help clean up some signs and put them on Gord Simmonds front lawn. Just trying to be a blessing. Had no idea he was voting coalition

No More Chemo Party
Been a long journey for our friends the osmonds, 2 1/2 years of treatment for Delaney but on April 3 of this year, thanks to the Lord for his provision and restoration, Delaney completed her treatment. On May 1st, Steve & Lisa had a big party to celebrate with family and friends
