Night With the Bulls

Isaac's Tim Bits team got to play at the bulls game last night. Before the game, they had them out on the red carpet and the players came by to high five them

Isaac scored a goal, he was some excited and did a little hop and jump after he scored.

Sweet Faithy. Last night, we went to see the high school musical, "Sound of Music" Was really well done. Left baby sitter at home with older two but dropped faith off with mom & dad for a few hours. We got a call in the middle of the second act. Our quiet reserved #3 child, cried for 2 hrs. As soon as we got there to pick her up, one look at Mommy and she was fine. Oh gracious

Games Night

We've started a new tradition on sunday nights now that I'm not doing the radio show... Games Night. Kids are right into... well Isaac is. Eva could take it or leave it. Last week, isaac got in a bit of trouble and as we were getting ready, Isaac reminded us that he'd lost the "privelidge" of playing games night... Tanya and I had forgotten but he doesn't miss a beat... by the book that kid. Anyway, this morning before church I said, well, tonight we have games night. I said, you haven't lost the privelidge of playing tonight have you to which he replied... "not yet"

Ended up plaing monopoly. Part way through the game, Eva announced "I'm really ready for Games to be over" Oh the fun. And for some reason, I won and caused the oldest to finish of the evening in tears... oh yes, Games night is a classic

Finished the night off with some chocolate chip cookies, always good medicine after you've been beat in monopoly

Busy Saturday

Took the kids on Saturday to see the Tale of Desperaux. They had some Christmas money and so we used it for all 5 of us to go see the movie... Even Faithy. She was asleep when we went in but half way through she perked up and sat on Tanya's knee just staring at the big screen with those buy eyes. It was pretty cute. The movie wasn't that great in my opinion... Isaac was freaked out the entire movie... "I don't wanna watch this... I wanna go home... This is too scary... I'm scared" We managed to make it all the way through the movie and as it finished and the good guys won... Isaac proclaims... "I liked that movie" Yeah right kid, you spent half of it pearing between your fingers... good times.

Went out for dinner afterwards at Denny's... Kids eat free on Saturdays which was good

Bulls had a special presentation to some of the players that participated in the world juniors. We went to watch PK get presented with a commerative print. Stayed for the first period.

Our Good friend Roger Heidt turns 60, actually today, but they had a party for him Saturday night. We put in an appearance there and then rushed the kids home. Ambitious but full afternoon/evening

Did some running around in town today and the kids spotted Micheals and roped me into going in. We bought some crafts (only $2 each) and then got some letters/shapes to go on them. They had a great time making them

Winterfest

Took the kids down to the ramada today for a winterfest day. There was ice sculptures, beaver tails, and lots of other fun stuff
