Summer 2009

This is the final weekend before school starts on tuesday. That being said, I like to look back over the past 3 months (May 24-Aug 29) and reflect on the 3 weeks of summer we had! The above collage represents some of the activies we did as a family this summer. You don't think you've done much but then when you start to review and reflect, it actually was quite a bit.

We had seats in the Medigas Suite. I've now decided this is the only way to watch a hockey game/event

Dinasours looked and felt real moving around. Kids were freaked at first but eventually warmed up to them.

20 Years

I am finding it wierd today. 20 years ago I started work at David Mackay Insurance... August 28, 1989. We had just sold our house on the 4th, I was working all summer at camp in Quebec and returned home 3 weeks before my sisters wedding. I started out doing all the accounting, transferring numbers from the invoices to the general ledger, into the accounts receivable and the accounts payable. What a tedious job. Then in June of 1990, I got my brokers licence, got a computer system and basically my job transferring numbers was eliminated.

My dad has afforded me a great opprotunity and for that I am very greatful.

Faith's Party

After much prodding and encouraging... she eventually tried the cake. Didn't really make that much of mess of it which ws a little diappointing but this is true to her personality... cautious and observes before she acts.
