The Things Kids Say

One of the main reasons for me doing this blog is so I can keep records and memories of the kids growing up. Both Isaac and Eva are at the development stage where they say things that make complete sense to them but man oh man, they are hilarious.

As I arrived home last night, Isaac met me at the door "DADDY, DADDY, DADDY, I flew a kite for the first time today and DADDY DADDY DADDY, I had diahreha on the toilet" (Said with the same excitement!) too funny. He had to use the washroom again last night and he wanted no part of his bathroom, had to use ours. He used ours and he didn't have "DIAHREHA" so now he figures he needs to use ours all of the time. Great.

Just before dinner, I was in the kitchen and the kids were playing in the living room and all of a sudden, Even began to scream. I ran out and there she lay prostrate on the floor whaling away. Lots of Dram. I didn't even get "Isaac What did..." and he quips righ back, "I said Sorry" before I could finish my question. Then I asked him again, this time I got the whole question out, What did you do. To which he responded, I didn't do anything, Eva just fell down. Right.

Eva is 2 going on 16. She has already dropped the "Mommy" and refers to Tanya as "Mom" Oh man

Hockey Next

Bought Isaac some hockey equipment friday night. He's really excited about starting Ice Hockey This fall. Equipment is smallest we could get but it's still pretty big. Ah well, hopefully will last us for a few years.

Isaac played in his first tournament yesterday. They tied the first game and lost the final game. Hot day but a fun one. Isaac was thrilled to win his first ever medal.

Eva the Diva

Eva is going to be a gymnist, we're pretty sure. I came up the stairs and I caught her doing summersaults on the couch... or perhaps she was just letting the blood rush to her head so she could make her brother do whatever she wanted... just like Gramma Mackay used to do to her brothers.

This is the closest to the pool that Eva got... doesn't seem to like the water... but loves ther "Towa". She hasn't figured out yet that she needs to be wet in order to use the "Towa"

We met some friends tonight and went to the Rick Meagher Golf Tournament Banquet.

Gilbert Perrault and myself

I used to think Bob McKenzie had a big head... until I stood beside him and I realize mine is bigger... doh.

Billy Smith of the New York Islanders... moments after this picture, he hit on my wife. I think he had a few too many of the happy juice that's in his hand.

Only North of Seven

My sister in law left some of her baking at the cottage a month ago in the freezer there. It had some type of dessert in it. We called the owners of the cottage and let them know and asked if they could return it. We got it back tonight all washed up with a note in it... "Very Good, Would Like Recipe" Made me laugh

The Circus

Went after soccer to the circus last night

Isaac is still talking about the circus last year where the elephant pee'd and poohed and then sat in it. He was rather disappointed this year when nothing of that sort happend

I've made it known to Tanya of my intention one day to be shriner. I mean, come on, they get to wear white slacks and white shoes, a nice blazer and the that red fez... it's fantastic. They ride around in parades and stuff... aparantly you have to be a free mason first in order to join, that could be a problem but, man that Fez...

This family act, the father put the kids on a pole and started spinning them around. Picture doesn't capture the essence of how fast they were whipping around. You ever wonder how these people discover their hidden talants? I mean, what could he have possibly been doing when he came up with the thought... I wonder if I get my kids to hang on to a pole, i'm going to sit on my back and twirl them like a baton with my feet....

Sick Sick Sick

So we had tons of stuff planned this weekend. I was to play 2 ball games friday night, go to the waterfront festival, visit with friends at Wesley Acres & Sandbanks, go to a 30th birthday party for a friend, go to final sunday for pastor Peter at church, and go to a bbq after.... and well... we did go to waterfront for all of an hour and after that... well actually we did go to the clinic a few times. Once to pick up our number and then return an hour and a half later only to discover they'd called our number while we were out so we waited some more! fun times in the city. Isaac was up in the night with a fever and throwing up. We've had a great time. Eva is bouncing back buts its taken a week. Hopefully this week will be better

My Son the anti semite

This morning as I ate breakfast, Isaac was going on at length about Lady Tasha's Jews. "Someone has taken her Jews" Ok son first of all... and then I realize the backyardigans are on tv and lady tasha has had her JEWELS stolen. Phew... my son is not a racisit.

The New Blades

We bought rollerblades for Isaac for his birthday and he used them for the first time tonight. As you can see by his face, he wasn't really enjoying it.

Back with a Bang

7th Anniversary

Montreal Jazz Festival

Took in the Jazz Festival for the first time.

We Had Tickets to see Branford Marsalis, he plays the Sax and was the band leader for Jay Leno and the tonight show at one time... yeah, the concert sucked. Tanya slept from beginning to end and I thought I was a music lover but i wouldn't qualify that as music. It was disorganized Chaos. The drummer was just a banging and the piano player was all over the place, playing wrong notes in my estimation and I couldn't even hear th bass player. Branford would play a bit and then he'd just walk off stage... is he coming back, where did he go.

Just For Laughs Festival starts next week...

The lower end of St. Catherines is Shut down for the Festival
